Driftless Water Defenders (“DWD”), is Iowa’s newest clean water advocacy non-profit organization. DWD is based in Northeast Iowa and started in mid-2024.
DWD is focused on teaching Iowa communities about the sources of water pollution, adverse health affects of drinking polluted water, and how Iowa communities can advocate for cleaner water.
Part of DWD’s mission is to advocate and litigate for clean Iowa water.
